Angie is a 5 year old, lively and intelligent mixed-breed girl. You can recognize a few terrier features in her looks, but with the light brindle coat she’s one of a kind. She’s only about 14 inches tall but don’t be fooled, her personality is much bigger than that.
Angie is affectionate and sweet with people she knows, she loves to play and is a very quick learner. She’s used to the harness and collar and trained to stay in her crate – she’s happy to get in and sleeps the whole night through.
She is, however, quite nervous, her past experiences must have taught her it’s not safe to trust everybody right away. She tries to hide her anxiety by putting a brave face on and scaring the potential danger away, thus she is often reactive towards dogs, cats and people who trigger her. Following the same logic, she might bark at anything new or concerning when outside. Since joining her current foster family she already made great progress and calmed down, but it is certainly an issue her new owners should be ready to help her work on. Not a big price to pay for a wonderful, loving pet that she truly is.
Angie is looking for an adult only, quiet home and experienced, responsible owners who understand it will take time to help Angie settle and gain confidence. Ideally she’d be the only animal in the house.
