Is there a lady out there for Cooper?
Born May 2012, Cooper is a lovely older boy, very loving and wants affection. Rescued from the public shelter, he understandably wants all the food and grumbled at the other dogs. He will make someone a wonderful companion. He really would love his very own home. Its so sad to think he was in a public shelter at his age. He is a loving and affectionate dog who bonds closely with his owners and is eager to please. He is very clever and responds well to training. He would like to be an only dog and live with ladies only household He is reactive with dogs on-lead when he sees them out walking and will bark. He can be dominant at times. Regular socialisation with other dogs will help with this. When he gets to know a dog he will walk happily alongside them and has been on group walks with a variety of different dogs. He walks perfectly on his lead and doesn’t pull. Cooper is an active dog, but not too giddy. He loves his walks and enjoys long walks when time allows, but equally he is content with a short 30 minute walk. He loves to snuggle on the sofa, play with toys and have his tummy rubbed. Cooper will bond closely with his lay owner and is very gentle. Cooper knows basic commands such as ‘sit’ and ‘wait’. His recall is improving with training using a long-line and like a typical Labrador he is very food motivated. He is eager to please and just wants to be a good boy and do the right thing. He loves chew toys and enjoys playing fetch. Cooper enjoys travelling in the car. Cooper can be left for a few hours and is non-destructive. He is fully house trained. He does not bark excessively, although he will bark at people outside or when someone knocks at the door. Cooper wants to be an only dog preferably in a very quiet home with one or two female humans. He wants to be the light of their life, and he will bring joy to whoever adopts him – he will be the best companion dog. Sadly Cooper doesn’t like men very much.
