We are working with our local rescuer to build The Sanctuary in rural Romania, to help the dogs who need some rehabilitation in a quiet and large setting. With a huge playground area, a slice of paradise for the dogs who so desperately need to learn to love – and to be a dog again.
This project has been held up due to covid-19 restrictions and weeks of rainfall. The first set of perimeter fences have now been built, and they have been drilling deep into the earth to make a well, clear, fresh water for the dogs to enjoy.
The total project cost is around £15,000, and we are on budget at the moment. The costs are low, because this is being built by hand and by family and friends. We still have around £5,000 of the total cost to raise, but we are confident that we will achieve this through the love and determination of our amazing supporters of our work in rural Romania.
