𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲𝗱: Jessie was kept on a chain in a family’s yard. She gave birth to Jade and James. We took in all three of them
𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝘀𝗵𝘆/𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗱/𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗳𝘂𝗹/𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲/𝗹𝗮𝘇𝘆): Jessie is such a lovely, affectionate girl despite her past.
Our team met her in August 2026, and they said: Jessie is around 3 years old, and despite the terrible life she endured before being rescued, she has somehow remained one of the most wonderful dogs you could ever meet.
Before her rescue this spring, Jessie spent her life in a family’s yard, tied to the end of a short chain. She gave birth there to James and Jade, and that was the life she knew until Melisa found her.
The moment Melisa heard of the living conditions, she rescued Jessie and both of her puppies, giving them the chance to finally experience kindness, freedom and love.
And Jessie has been nothing short of amazing.
She is genuinely a one-in-a-million dog.
Calm, affectionate and incredibly friendly, Jessie loves people, happily welcomes strangers and is fantastic with other dogs. She has no behavioural issues, has beautiful manners and is medium active — the perfect balance for a family looking for a companion to share everyday life with.
It is hard to believe that a dog who was once kept on a short chain could be so trusting, gentle and loving.
Jessie has left her horrible past behind. Now all she needs is one special family to see what an extraordinary girl she is and give her the forever home she has been waiting for.
