Hello, my name is

Roo

And I'm looking for my forever home.

Here's what some kind humans wrote about me

Roo is a gorgeous four year old lurcher type mix, weighing approximately 27kg.

She is the most loving dog, but can be anxious around new people or dogs. She is fine with dogs outdoors, and once she knows the dog, indoors too. Roo is currently sharing her space with a foster sibling happily. It did take her a day or two to warm to her new foster sister, but now they are firm friends. She has been completely fine with a male dog who visits the home. She is the same with new humans – a little wary to start, but once she knows you, she is full of love and cuddles.

Roo adores her outdoor walks, and is currently enjoying walks of about an hour and a half a day. When she’s had good exercise, she likes to snuggle up on the sofa or in her dog bed for a snooze!

Roo is working really hard on her lead frustration, which she can sometimes display when other dogs are around. Her foster family are working hard on this with her, and she is making significant progress.

Roo’s foster says: “Roo is a clever dog who knows some basic commands already – sit, paw, down, bed, wait, heel etc. Once she has settled with a new owner she would really benefit from continuing training and being mentally stimulated. Roo is just an amazing girl with a massive heart. She is very calm and affectionate in the house. We have been doing 1hr30mins average walks with her a day and at home she has been happy to sleep in her bed or on the sofa with us. She loves to come over and put her head on our laps for some fuss. Sometimes she will spontaneously give you her paw and just look at you with her beautiful eyes.

Whoever adopts Roo will need to be a patient and gentle person – they will be so lucky to have such a loving loyal friend for life in return.”
