Our 2021 Christmas Shoebox Appeal – during a global pandemic, went ahead! With a huge thank you to everyone who supported our campaign, our UK team flew to Romania to help hand out your donated shoeboxes and warm clothing.
You made the children’s year! They were over the moon to receive your gifts of warmth and love!
With strict covid restrictions in place across Romania, we were not allowed inside state orphanages this year. But your gifts were shared amongst many love income families across rural communities, and at the children’s cancer hospital in Bucharest too.
Here are just a few of the photos we took, we have included some of the homes, to give you a small idea of how life differs to ours in the UK.
