In March 2023, our planned neuter trip to Peru took a turn when the weather struck. A cyclone causing mud, landslides and rivers to burst their banks, thousands of homes were destroyed, people displaced and animals in desperate need of help. A sudden emergency event took place. Our team gathered over 40 dogs and pups, rescuing many from fast flowing rivers, and were also there to hand out meals to those whose homes had been destroyed. Carrying out our neuter campaign in another area, over 300 animals were neutered – a campaign so desperately needed in the impoverished shanty towns.
