With a member of our team Oksana, being Ukrainian, and our rescuer shelter in Baia Mare being on the border with Ukraine, at the start of the war, we were there to help.
Our work in Ukraine now is mainly focused on 2 shelters, although we do continue to donate for dog food to other individuals too. Along with neutering where this is possible.
We made a public appeal for donations and in December 2023, we sent money to build 3 new puppy enclosures at the Happy Dog Shelter in Kropvnytskyi, Ukraine which our rescuers first visited in early 2022.
We have carried out neuter programmes here too, but they are now being overwhelmed and needed somewhere warm for the pups. This Christmas miracle happened thanks to everyone who donated:
